For the first time, all proceeds from this event will go to the ASB (Associated Student Body).
Areas funded by the ASB include the following:
- Individual stipends for each classroom, to purchase supplemental instructional materials to be used by students this year (i.e., Books for classroom libraries; individual-size whiteboards; specialty art supplies; etc.)
- Field trip funds, to help pay for buses, admission costs, guest speakers, etc. (Additional donation requests may still be sent out for some field trips as needed. )
- Supplemental instructional materials for each grade level to enhance units of study (i.e., Books for literature focus units; supplies for inquiry-based, NGSS science lessons, manipulatives for math lessons)
Please know that donations generated through the 2019 Gator Gallop go to directly benefit students, both in the classroom and grade level capacity.

-When: Third graders will run from 1:15 -1:45 PM. Thank you Sonal and Prajakta for volunteering to help us scan during the run!
-Collect Pledges: Pledge envelopes and forms were sent home 9/23 with your child. You can also submit pledges electronically via pledgestar.com/johngreen. Pledges are open until 10/25/19.
-What to wear: all students should wear their John Green spirit wear or school colors on the day of the run. The more green, the better!
- Contests: 1. Highest Class Donations- The class that raises the most money will win a PIZZA PARTY! 2. Most Laps Run: The top 3 girls and boys from each grade level will be awarded. 3. Top Donations- We will award the top 2 fundraisers school wide. 4. If we reach our school goal of $50,000.....Mr. Grotke will go bald!!!
Don't forget to dine at Pizza Guys after school on Friday, October 18th and mention John Green Elementary.
