Star Student - MY SITE

Star Student of the Week
When it is your turn to be the Star Student, you will have a whole week of recognition and events that honor you! In addition, your classmates will get to learn more about you. Each day will consist of a different activity that you will be responsible to bring to school or to do that day.
(1) Monday: Poster- Your poster will go home in your Friday Folder. Please complete this over the weekend, and include pictures to share with your classmates to help us get to know you and your family better. Be sure to make it colorful- it will be hung on the wall all week! :)
(2) Tuesday: Favorite Book- You may bring your favorite book to school on this day and read aloud your favorite part. If it's a chapter book, you may choose your favorite chapter to read. Otherwise, you will have 5 minutes to read aloud.

(3) Wednesday: Parent Letter- Your parents will write a letter to the class telling us how special you are to them. They should put the letter in a sealed envelope, and they may include additional pictures to help us visualize anything written in the story. The content of the letter is up to each family, but you may choose from the following ideas: special or funny stories about your child, silly or serious poem/song, tell us some neat things we may not know about the star student, or write a short story as the student as the main character.

(4) Thursday: Mystery bag- Try to stump your classmates! Bring any item from home (make sure it's school appropriate) in a concealed bag. Come up with 3 clues that give hints as to what is inside. After your classmates have discovered the contents of the bag, be sure to tell us why you chose it, and any additional information you would like to share with us.

(5) Friday: Basketball Shots- Channel the Splash Brothers and take two shots on our in-class basketball hoop. It's your chance to earn your team 20 extra points!
